Apostleship of Prayer In 1844 Fr. Francis X. Gautrelet asked Jesuit seminarians to be apostles of prayer, to offer everything they did each day in union with the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Since 1929 Popes have proposed particular prayer intentions each month. Today millions of people have joined the Apostleship of Prayer and pray every day for the good of the whole world. Join Pope Benedict XVI and offer yourself and your entire day as a prayer that God's will be done here on earth! Daily Offering Prayer O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world.
