Suscipe
St Ignatius Loyola

Take Lord!
Receive all my liberty,
my memory,
my understanding,
my entire will,
all that I have
and call my own.

To you, Lord, I return it.
Do with it as You will.
Give me only Your love
and Your grace.

That is enough for me.

What is the Liturgy of the Hours?

"The Liturgy of the Hours, which is the public and common prayer of the Church, is the prayer of Christ with his body, the Church.  Through the Liturgy of the Hours the mystery of Christ, which we celebrate in the Eucharist, sanctifies and transforms the whole of each day.  It is composed mainly of psalms, other biblical texts, and readings from the Fathers and spiritual masters."
Catechism of the Catholic Church Compendium

Like the Mass, the Liturgy of the Hours, if possible, should be celebrated in community with other members of the Church, for the praying of it represents the whole Church, in union with Christ, at prayer.

The Church's daily cycle of prayer has several elements:

Office of Readings
A biblical reading and a reading from the Fathers or Saints

Morning Prayer
Lauds - psalms & readings

Daytime Prayer
Middle Hour

Evening Prayer
Vespers

Night Prayer
