2nd Annual Seniors Valentine Luncheon a huge success! Last weekend one hundred seniors from our community were hosted, entertained and served by the high school youth of our parish. It was an opportunity for the youth to appreciate the seniors for their faith witness to our community. The two generations shared conversation and games over lunch, dessert and coffee. It was a concrete illustration of the Body of Christ present in our midst.

Thank you to all the seniors who responded so positively to the luncheon and shared their faith, wisdom and witness with the high school youth. Many hands and hearts helped in planning and making the day a memorable experience for everyone. Thank you to the high school youth, St. Raphael Catholic School 4th and 5th grade, SRCS After School, and adults, Michele Sherman, Becky Moskowitz, Pam and Paul Matthews, Brianne Byrnes, Emily Regan, Irene Kress, and Kathy Sansoucy for sharing their time, talents and treasure with us. Mission Trip 2012: Haven’t signed up to participate in one of next year’s mission trips? It is not to late! There are limited spaces remaining for the high school trip through Catholic Heart Workcamp in Prince Frederick, MD the week of July 22-28.
