St. Raphael Welcoming Ministry
Heritage Festival Saturday Feb 2
Beginning at 6pm in Raphael Hall
The St Raphael Welcoming Ministry is sponsoring the annual Heritage Festival (formerly known as the International Festival). Part of the Welcome Ministry's mission is to welcome and foster opportunities to celebrate the St. Raphael parish rich cultural diversity. You are invited to attend and share in the blessings of food, entertainment, and fellowship. The dinner is free of charge; we simply ask that you bring a dish to share from your country or region of origin (prepared in your usual hygienic way). Come in your native dress and prepare to experience the heritage of all your fellow parishioners.
Food will be served from 6:00-8:00 with desserts and beverages continuing during the entertainment portion of the evening from 7:30-9:30. Call Mike Motsinger 787.1571 for help in preparing a display or a cultural music, dance, or spoken performance.
Welcome Ministry Mission: Our mission is to welcome newcomers and integrate them into parish life and the community outside the parish. We seek to foster a sense of community within the parish, a sense of evangelization to our fellow fallen away brothers and sisters and a sense of service on the part of our parish community.
Vision: St. Raphael Welcoming Ministry hopes to create an warm and inviting environment for all newcomers.
