| Harvest for Hungercontact Jennifer Luebke 571.2532 The Harvest for Hunger Ministry invites you to join them in helping to feed the poor and hungry in the Triangle area. On the second Saturday morning of each month from May through November, volunteers travel to a local farm to harvest crops which are distributed to the Food Bank, homeless shelters, rescue missions, the Salvation Army, and many others. The crops to be picked include strawberries and blueberries (May/June), corn, beans, apples (July/August) sweet potatoes, collards, turnips and other greens (fall months). This is a wonderful service opportunity for young and old, and families and youth groups are encouraged to participate. |
