The Prison Ministry

Temporary contact Mickey McGoldrick  865.5740

We minister to those imprisoned in the immediate environs of Raleigh. Presently we have a fully staffed volunteer group for the North Carolina Correctional Institute for Women NCCIW (Women's Prison.) There is a need for ministries to both men (Central Prison) and youth. Ministry might include conducting Catholic Bible Studies and...if authorized by the pastor.....Eucharistic Services. Letter writing to inmates is also a possibility. Patient volunteers are especially welcome owing to the necessity of adhering to Department of Correction rules and regulations.

You can do the 7 corporal works of mercy!

Feed the hungry

Give drink to the thirsty

Clothe the naked

Shelter the homeless

Care for the sick

Visit the imprisoned

Bury the Dead

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Mt 5:7
