Aug 31 “Foxes have dens, birds have nests but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head”. Have you ever wondered how can you help those less fortunate to achieve the dream of home ownership as a just one person? The Social Justice Ministry has the answer! Come join parishioners from other area Catholic Churches in the 2010 Catholic Church Coalition which will be building a house in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity. This will be the first home built solely by Catholic churches in our area and won’t it be great to have our presence known!! This house will be built in Garner and no particular talent is needed –just a desire to help. Join us for more information on Aug 31 at 7PM in Room 112. Sat Sept 18 Jesuit Speaker Series 2010-2011 John Baldovin SJ of Boston College School of Theology and Ministry will speak on 'Liturgy: Idols and Icons - The Current State of Liturgical Reform' 945am, after the 9am Mass in the Lewis Room

Sat/Sun Sept 18-19 Fr Bob Wiesenbaugh's last weekend at St. Raphael. Be sure to wish him well. Also we will vote in the Pastoral Council elections.

Sun Sept 19 Faith Formation classes begin

Sat Sept 25 The Social Justice Ministry in conjunction with Catholic Charities invites you and your members to attend a Parish Social Ministry training day at St. Mary's in Garner on 9/25 from 9:30-3:00PM. This is not just for social justice ministries as we will explore ways "we can affect positive change in our parishes" as a whole. Note also that there will be programs in Spanish.

Sat Sept 25 Women's Guild 1st Fall Meeting 945 in the Lewis Room (after the 9am mass). All women in the parish are invited!

Wed Sept 29 Feast of the Archangels (our patron St. Raphael) Also Confirmation at 630pm

Fri/Sat Oct 8-9 Oktoberfest in Ignatius Hall sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. Come for great food and entertainment

The rest of the text should be in plain lettering.

Please check spelling and grammar before sending items.

If you are including dates, please write it out in full (October 1, rather than 10/1 or Oct. 1) there is no need to put the year unless the event occurs next year.
