| Social Justice - Helping RefugeesWelcome to the Rai Family! The St. Raphael Social Justice Ministry joined the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants in the "WELCOME HOME" Project. An apartment in N. Raleigh was fully furnished for a refugee family who arrived April 6 from Bhutan. THANK YOU to everyone who helped to make this project a wonderful success. Although language was at times difficult, and names and stories are yet to be further told, one greeting was well received and understood: "NAMASTE." This combines the two Sanskrit words - namah + te - meaning " I bow to that (divinity) inherent in you." |
