BAPTISM FOR CHILDREN AGES 7-17

Unlike the baptism of an infant which is primarily the parent(s) choice, we understand that the baptism of an older child is a mutual choice between the parent(s) and child/youth. Given this reality baptism preparation for older children/youth is family centered.  

Baptism preparation for children ages 7 - 17 consists of one year of formation in one of our three models for Faith Formation (including Catholic school). In addition to this formation, specific preparation for Baptism for children ages 7 - 17 occurs simultaneously and involves the parents as well as the child. Following completion of prepartion, the celebration of Baptism takes place sometime after Easter.
