The St. Raphael Pastoral Council is responsible for long-range planning to move our entire parish toward our vision of helping people encounter Jesus and forming them as passionate disciples who serve his mission by their lives. We’re looking for passionate, visionary thinkers and strategists to join us in this ministry.
As a Pastoral Council member, you will be responsible for developing and supporting the strategic plan to guiding the parish’s work toward our vision. Ideal Pastoral Council candidates will have gifts, interest, and availability to focus on this special work. Strategic thinking is an important skill, as are analytical skills, and strong organizational skills. Special talents in the areas of digital transformation, informational technology and statistical analysis are valuable as we progress toward a hybrid parish serving our community.
Our parish uses a process of nomination and prayerful discernment for selecting new Pastoral Council members to better allow parishioners with the needed abilities and availability to engage with council leaders and the pastor to arrive at the best decision about council membership. I invite you to review the skills and requirements below and prayerfully consider if someone you know would be a good fit (it may even be you!) and submit their name (or your name) for consideration to the Pastoral Council Chair, Brug Jung by clicking on her email address below.
