The Mission of the Respect Life Committee is to promote and celebrate, through prayer and educational activities, a consistent ethic of life from conception until natural death. As Catholics we believe that every person is created in God’s image, and we must therefore protect the right to life for all God’s children, particularly the most vulnerable.
We focus our efforts and prayer on the intrinsic evils identified by the Church and the USCCB:
Join us year round in peacefully praying for the unborn, their parents and abortion workers outside of A Woman's Choice at 3305 Drake Circle, Raleigh. Members of our committee are out there on a regular basis, but dates/times vary by month.

Many mothers and fathers find comfort and strength in having their child blessed even before he or she enters the world. It is a great affirmation of life and love for the unborn child, to be welcomed into the church and the family. Currently, the blessing is offered twice a year, usually in May and October (Respect Life Month).

We pray for babies in danger of being aborted.
It is a free program observed each January where we ask you to spiritually adopt a baby, name him or her, and pray for the baby and parents for 9 months that they may choose life.If you are struggling with infertility, prenatal diagnosis, miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss, you may feel a deep loss which few others seem to understand. The St. Raphael community prays for you. We often refer to a local group of Catholic women who can minister to you through their organization Lily of the Valley.
Lily of the Valley is a Catholic ministry that serves those experiencing infertility, difficult pregnancy diagnosis, and those who have experienced a pregnancy or perinatal loss. Through the intercession of St. Gianna Molla, our hope is to provide prayer and support to those who carry this cross and to bring comfort to those who are weary, that they will find peace and joy amidst a time of sorrow and suffering.

Are you pregnant or trying to conceive? Do you know someone struggling with fertility? Do you want to become more devoted to Our Blessed Mother? Are you seeking a special grace to help with life’s latest challenge? Are you looking for a way to thank Our Lady for blessings already received?
If you answered “Yes” to any of the above questions, then please consider inviting Our Blessed Mother to come stay at your home for a week.
The statue of Mary of Hope is of Our Blessed Mother pregnant with Our Savior, Jesus Christ. Praying to Our Lady of Hope during pregnancy, when trying to conceive, or for the intention of a loved one, can be a source or wonderful peace and grace. Our ministry will bring the statue to your home (or it can be picked up) along with prayers including the St. Gerard Novena.
